History

On December 17, 1970, the first pile of our 400-meter ice rink was hit into the ground. About two years later, on January 2, 1973, the ice rink of De Uithof officially opened its doors.

For thirty years De Uithof was the place to come ice skating with the whole family. Numerous official skating competitions were also held. The ice rink was the first activity of De Uithof, now the largest indoor sports center of the Netherlands.

In the year 2000, the range was expanded and De Uithof turned into a versatile sports center. A snow rink was built for indoor skiing and snowboarding. A go-kart track was built and De Uithof was expanded with a climbing wall, laser game arena, airsoft arena and a gym. In addition, several rooms were set up as meeting rooms. All these activities at one location in The Hague.
